Rick Scott won’t interview unless he pulls the strings, says anchor

Adam Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Ybeth Bruzual, anchor for Orlando’s News 13, criticized Gov. Rick Scott and his campaign for refusing interviews unless the topic was restricted to Hispanic outreach, and the reporter only asks questions pre-approved by the campaign.

News 13 is the Orlando version of Bright House Network’s Bay News 9 in Tampa Bay, which also produces a Sunday political affairs show called Political Connection in association with the Tampa Bay Times.

Smith writes that both shows have had little or no luck getting Rick Scott to appear for an interview in over a year. Charlie Crist was the guest on Political Connections on Sunday, broadcast on Bay News 9 in Tampa Bay.
