State Rep. Darryl Rouson (D-District 55) issued an invitation to challenger and political newcomer April Sheffield to a live, televised debate hosted by Dr. Ed James.  Dr. James accepted the proposal but Candidate Sheffield turned down the request, only offering to appear on the show in separate time slots.  “I’m happy to debate anyone, anytime, anywhere,” said Rep. Rouson.  “I stand on my record and I do not intend to leave the voters of my legislative district without a clear choice when election day arrives.”

On her website, www.vote4aprilsheffield.com, Sheffield writes that, “I do not intend to shy away from adversity.”
