Florida Trend Magazine named public affairs firm Sachs Media Group as one of the state’s “Best Companies to Work For,” one of only two Tallahassee communications firms to make the list.
As a leading independent communications firm, Sachs’ focuses on public outreach, awareness and marketing, with clients that include nonprofit organizations and Fortune 500 companies, as well as associations in Florida and nationwide.
Florida Trend and Best Companies Group created the “Best Companies To Work For” program in 2009 to feature the state’s best employers.
Winners of the best 100 small, medium and large companies will appear in the August issue of Florida Trend and on FloridaTrend.com.
“Just as we are committed to providing excellent service to our clients, we also have a fundamental dedication to creating, maintaining and strengthening a healthy, happy work environment for our professional family,” said Sachs Media Group CEO Ron Sachs. “As we are about to enter our 20th anniversary year, it is gratifying to be recognized in such elite company— for the priority that we all place on making our workplace a nurturing, collegial home.”
Ranked as one of the top 100 public relations firms in the nation, Sachs Media Group offers a range of public relations, crisis management, branding, advertising, Web and graphic design, social/digital media and video production. In 2014, industry publication O’Dwyers named Sachs named top Public Affairs Firm in Florida and 12th in the nation.
“We’ve worked hard to build a positive culture and cultivate a healthy team atmosphere,” said chief operating officer Michelle Ubben. “Our outstanding work on behalf of our clients is an outgrowth of hiring the best people and then rewarding, recognizing and appreciating their efforts.”
To be a “Best Company,” companies must have at least 15 Florida employees. Florida Trend uses a two-part survey process, starting with an evaluation of workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. Then, a second survey assesses employee satisfaction.
The employee assessment focuses on eight themes: corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; pay and benefits; relationship with supervisor; leadership and planning; training and development; and overall engagement.
