Sarah Palin delivers campaign-like speech in Iowa

About 2,000 people “willing to sit in dripping wet lawn chairs in a driving rain” showed up to hear Sarah Palin speak in Iowa today, the Des Moines Register reports.

She said the challenge is not simply to replace President Obama in 2012, “it’s who and what we will replace him with.”

Palin ripped on the “permanent political class” that promotes “good old boy politics” and derided public opinion polls, saying “usually polls are for strippers and cross country skiers.”

She asked her supporters to continue the fight: “You will be demonized. They’ll mock you. They’ll make things up. They’ll tell you to go to hell.”
