A political committee that will play a key role in Rick Scott’s 2014 re-election bid raised $360,000 in November and December, including $100,000 from AT&T, according to the state Division of Elections website.
The “Let’s Get to Work” committee collected a total of about $5.2 million in 2011 and 2012, building up a bankroll that can be used to help Scott seek another term. Also contributing $100,000 during the past two months was Bayfront 2011 Development LLC, which is affiliated with the Genting Group, a company that wants to build a resort casino in Miami. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and a Florida Retail Federation political committee each contributed $50,000.
