Seminole Tribe releases third TV spot calling for Compact renewal

in Statewide/Top Headlines by

A new TV ad from the Seminole Tribe of Florida says it has “met or exceeded” expectations by providing more than $1 billion in gambling revenue to fund education, support services and help control gaming.

The Tribe is launching its third 30-second television ad today, airing first in Tallahassee followed by media markets around the state.

A recent statewide poll conducted for the Tribe showed that Floridians believe the Seminoles have “exceeded expectations” of responsible gambling. The survey also found respondents want state lawmakers to consider actively reintroducing a provision in the Seminole Gaming Compact, signed in 2009 and set to expire July 31.

If not renewed by the Legislature, the Tribe may lose exclusive rights to conduct card games like blackjack at seven of its casinos across Florida, which they say have created nearly 20,000 jobs.

“Exceeding Expectation” is now available on YouTube.
