Sen. Rubio’s Southwest Florida regional director arrested in battery case

Michael J. Brennan, Sen. Marco Rubio’s Southwest Florida regional director, has been arrested on battery charges, according to several published reports.

Brennan, 39, of Bonita Springs, was arrested and booked by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday.

He was released after posting $1,000 bond. No further details were available.

Alex Burgos, a spokesman for Rubio, referred comment to the senator’s press secretary, who did not return a call today.
