Senators David Simmons and John Thrasher have joined a growing list of incumbent lawmakers who are making plans to run for re-election in 2014.

Thrasher, R-St. Augustine, filed papers this week to seek another term in District 6, while Simmons, R-Altamonte Springs, did the same to run in District 10, according to the state Division of Elections website.

Meanwhile, Sen. Bill Montford, D-Tallahassee, has filed papers to run again in 2016 in District 3. Filing the papers, at least in part, allows candidates to raise money.
