Several legislative-related events around Florida on Friday

No legislative actions on Friday, but there are some related events going on around the state, including high-profile attorney John Morgan talking in Tampa on his medical marijuana initiative, and a discussion in Orlando over wrongful incarceration.

The excitement in the Florida Capitol returns Monday morning.

11 a.m.:

State Sen. Geraldine Thompson and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Gilbert King will hold a news conference to discuss wrongful incarceration at Wells’ Built Museum, 511 West South St. in Orlando.

Noon:

Orlando trial attorney John Morgan will discuss the proposed constitutional amendment to legalize medical marijuana he is spearheading at the Tiger Bay Club of Tampa meeting at Maestro’s, David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts at 1010 North Macinnes Place in Tampa.

3 p.m.:
