Speaker Designate Chris Dorworth draws a primary challenger

in Uncategorized by

Poor John Moffitt.

Yesterday he was just the Treasurer of the Seminole County Republican Party.  Today, he is the political opponent of Chris Dorworth, the Speaker Designate of the Florida House of Representatives.

Undoubtedly, his life will never be the same.

Moffitt filed his papers to run for the House District 29 seat on Monday, according to state Division of Elections records. This is the same seat for which Dorworth is running.

And why is Moffitt running against a future Speaker of the House?

“I’m not ready to make a statement at this time,” said Moffitt.

Well, you better get ready Mr. Moffitt, because all you have really done is awake the sleeping giant.  Not that Dorworth or anyone else allied with Dorworth will mention you by name, but when your calls begin to go unanswered and those political allies you thought were your friends no longer want to stand near you, just know that is but the beginning of the political ostracization you will endure because of this decision.

Silly, silly man.
