Art collectors, both experienced and neophyte, will get an opportunity to purchase works for home, office or unique last-minute holiday gifts this weekend at the inaugural St. Petersburg Holiday of the Arts.
Co-sponsored by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance and the City of St. Petersburg, the Holiday is set for December 20-21 in South Straub Park. The City bills the event, held for the first time in 2014, as the start of a new holiday tradition for The Burg.
The show highlights handmade and original artwork by local, regional and national artisans, from exquisite tapestries and paintings to photography, sculpture, digital art, jewelry, glass, ceramics,
woodworking and more.
Artists will be on hand throughout the show to discuss their creative works, how they came to their art, education and training, as well as the design of particular samples. Such understanding is sure to add inestimable value to various pieces.
Many of the artisans in attendance represent many of the nation’s top museums and art galleries.
St. Petersburg Holiday of the Arts, directed by Paragon Fine Art Festivals, will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. A Concierge Service will be available on site for further guidance.
