State Rep. Jason Brodeur’s legislative aide cheers newspaper’s layoffs

You know what’s fun? Taking joy in somebody else losing their job, answers Jim Stratton of the Orlando Sentinel.

At least that appears to be the mindset of Jon Yapo, a legislative assistant for state House Rep. Jason Brodeur, R-Sanford. As my colleague Scott Maxwell noted in a recent post, Yapo was reveling in the news that the Sentinel may lay off some its copy editors and designers.

Yapo, posting on Twitter, gave a few fist pumps celebrating the news and wrote that the folks who might lose their jobs are “liberal pieces of [expletive deleted] who make my life a personal hell.”

Yeah, those copy editors — always imposing their socialist views about grammar — and those designers — always laying out pages favoring the left side — those are nasty people. Enemies of the state. Their families too.
