Stay classy, Sayfie Review!

On what should be a celebratory day for not just me, but all of us in new media in Florida, it turns out there is a skunk at the picnic.

It seems those in charge of The Sayfie Review (is it still Justin?) did not like Tweets mentioning @SaintPetersBlog or the launch of @ContextFL running in the Sayfie Twitter Ticker.

For example, Speaker Will Weatherford tweeted, “Looking forward to making @SaintPetersBlog’s next project @ContextFL part of my daily reading!” Here’s a screen shot of Weatherford’s tweet in the Ticker.

It wasn’t just Weatherford’s tweet, it was pretty much every tweet (of which there were several dozen, if not hundreds) that mentioned @ContextFL and/or @SaintPetersBlog.

Currently, it looks like whoever in charge of pruning the Sayfie Twitter Ticker has given up keeping those kind of tweets off the site. But, to think, I even advertised Context Florida’s announcement on The Sayfie Review.

As of late, I’ve been generally complimentary of Justin Sayfie, going so far as to assign SaintPetersBlog contributor Karen Cyphers to write a story about his upcoming conference.

I guess our rivalry endures.
