Suffolk poll: Bill Nelson 42%, Connie Mack 32%

A new Suffolk University poll finds  Bill Nelson leading Republican candidate Connie Mack by 10 percentage points, 42 percent to 32 percent. Still, only 36 percent of those surveyed have a favorable opinion and 28 percent have an unfavorable opinion of Nelson.

Mack comes closest to Nelson than the other GOP contenders who have far less name recognition. Adam Hasner trails 47-23; George LeMieux 46-22; and Mike McAlister 46-25.

47% said Florida is on the wrong track and 31 percent said it is heading in the right direction. Thirty percent have a favorable view of Gov. Rick Scott and 48 percent have an unfavorable view. Thirty five percent approve of the job Rick Scott is doing, and 45 percent disapprove.
