Survey, albeit unscientific, shows race between Gualtieri and Rice for Pinellas Sheriff is neck-and-neck

St. Pete Polls has released the results of general survey of likely Republican primary voters within Pinellas County and the results show that the race between Bob Gualtieri and Everett Rice for Pinellas Sheriff is neck-and-neck.

Rice leads Gualtieri 51 – 48 percent in this latest poll, a dramatic shift since the race first began and Rice led Gualtieri by as much as 43 percent in Rice’s internal polls.

The survey was conducted by phone on June 28, and respondents comprised of 373 registered Republicans in Pinellas County who responded that they were likely to vote in the August 14 primary.
