How low can we go: The number of first-time Florida Bar takers who pass the February administration of the examĀ has plummeted to its lowest level in eight years. Of 751 first-time takers, 433 passed the bar, or 57.7 percent, according to a Monday release from theĀ state’s Board of Bar Examiners. The boardĀ responsible for writing the state’s bar examination is looking for two more volunteer members. The Florida Bar wants lawyer-spouses of active military members stationed in Florida to be able to practice law here without having to take the state bar exam. Florida law school students’ downward spiralĀ continues, with only 68.2 percent passing the latestĀ state bar exam. The state’s Board of Bar Examiners on Monday released the figuresĀ for theĀ July 26-27 examination. The results are for first-time test takers only.
