Texans earn first road victory by beating Jaguars

in Sports/Top Headlines by

The Jacksonville Jaguars won the statistical battle, but that was of little consolation on Sunday. The Houston Texans came away with a 24-21 victory over the Jaguars at EverBank Field. Jacksonville’s defense held Texans’ Quarterback Brock Osweiler to only 99 yards passing. Unfortunately, two of his passes went for touchdowns. Jaguars’ Quarterback Blake Bortles threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns. It was another throw that played a huge role in determining the outcome. His fourth pass attempt of the…

Jaguars off-key in Music City debacle

Remember the Titans. Most, if not all, of the Jacksonville Jaguars players and coaches probably saw the movie of that name starring Denzel Washington. Thursday night, the Jags would like to forget their game with the Tennessee Titans, putting on a miserable performance in a 36-22 drubbing in Nashville. The final score in no way reflects the domination Tennessee had over the Jaguars throughout the game. Two weeks ago, there was optimism the Jags were getting things together after winning two…

After the Jaguars opening drive ended in a fluke interception in the end zone, Chicago dominated the rest of the half. Bears’ quarterback Brian Hoyer…

The Jacksonville Jaguars have had difficulty making key plays that would help create a victory. On Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, they made several key plays down the stretch, but it wasn’t enough as they dropped a 19-17 decision at EverBank Field. Several familiar players to Florida football fans were involved in big plays for both teams. Former Florida State receiver Rashad Greene returned a punt 42 yards to set up the Jags’ first touchdown that made it 10-7. The…
