Mitch Perry Report for 2.26.16 – New survey shows that Florida Dems aren’t feeling the Bern

in The Bay and the 'Burg/Top Headlines by

Although many pundits are pontificating that Marco Rubio‘s pummeling of Donald Trump in last night’s CNN/Telemundo/Salem Radio debate from Houston was entertaining, they still contend that it’s not going to matter on Super Tuesday or the subsequent elections to follow. We’re not so certain about that. If anything, Rubio’s “kitchen sink” opposition research dump against the New York City business mogul surely had to give second thoughts to the strongest Trump supporters out there, right? Trump was flustered in a way that he hasn’t…

Pinellas County Congressman David Jolly says he’s not concerned at all concerned about the effect that wealthy Manatee County developer Carlos Beruff’s entrance into the GOP race for U.S. Senate campaign might mean for him, saying, “If anything, it’s a huge win for the David Jolly campaign.” Beruff. a multimillionaire, has ties to Governor Rick Scott. He’s reportedly close to becoming the latest entrant to the race, which already includes Jolly, Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera, Congressman Ron DeSantis, and former CIA contractor…

Mitch Perry Report for 2.18.16 – Do we have new entrant in GOP Senate race?

in The Bay and the 'Burg/Top Headlines by

Tallahassee – U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson was in the Capitol Wednesday. With the Senate (what else?) off for the week on “President’s Day holiday,” the only statewide elected Democrat was in town to congratulate the League of Women Voters on their Fair Districts court victory. It was great to see the LWV folks in the Capitol, as well as the folks for occupational therapy and Latino activists, and I’m sure some other groups I missed along the way. Nelson contended…

Todd Wilcox looks to woo Republican voters during Naples stop

in 2017/Top Headlines by

Wilcox made his pitch to the Women’s Republican Club of Naples Federated luncheon on Friday. The visit marked the latest in a series of stops in recent months to the conservative stronghold to woo…
