After hearing from legal experts, St. Petersburg council members agreed to a future discussion about a proposal that would limit donations from so-called super PACs in city elections. Most council members support the idea. When one candidate earns a majority of endorsements, like Charles Gerdes has in the Democratic Primary for House District 53, then that has to count for something. Last week I reported that Gerdes had won the AFL-CIO endorsement (The Buzz got this after I did and didn’t even give me credit. Tsk, tsk).
