Citrus Department passes reduced budget

State citrus commissioners have OK’d a pared-down preliminary budget for the Department of Citrus. The good news: It includes money for the free orange and grapefruit juice travelers can get at the state’s official welcome centers on Interstates 10, 75 and 95 and U.S. 231. Senate recommends $3.6 billion for environmental agencies in 2016-17 budget

Florida environmental agencies will have about $3.6 billion to spend in the 2016-2017 fiscal year, based on recommendations from the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government. Put together by Umatilla Republican Sen. Alan Hays, the committee released its budget recommendations Thursday, reports LobbyTools. Ag Department says ‘Fresh From Florida’ products in more foreign stores than ever

Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam made an announcement Tuesday morning that the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service’s well-known “Fresh From Florida” campaign is getting results.
