St. Petersburg College opens Midtown Center with block party

St. Petersburg College is about ready to show off its new addition. This Saturday, SPC will celebrate the opening of a revamped Midtown Center with a block party and ribbon cutting. Festivities start at 11 a.m. And anyone who attends and applies for classes that day, Aug. 1, will have the school’s normal $40 application fee waived. St. Pete to host Florida Main Street Conference

St. Pete will play host to an annual meeting of Florida Main Streets this August. The Florida Main Street Conference will be at the Vinoy August 17-19 for the program’s 30th anniversary. The conference will host more some 50 “Main Street” communities including our own Edge District, Grand Central and Deuces Live Main Street. The three communities are co-hosting the conference.
