Sam Henderson is releasing his responses to the Stonewall Democrats questionnaire that led the organization to endorse him for Mayor of Gulfport. The endorsement from the pro-LGBT group may have come as a shock to some and did shock Henderson’s opponent, Barbara Banno. Banno is openly gay. Henderson is not. St. Pete city employees want to have a diverse and inclusive workplace. The city conducted an internal survey of 1,124 of its employees. There are a little over 3,000 total employees, including about 500 part-timers.
