As expected, Trump has a 17-point lead among white voters, 53 to 36 percent. Clinton has…

in Sports/Top Headlines by

The skeptics are out there. Despite a 4-0 start, a lot of people still aren’t sold on the Miami Hurricanes, who have beaten FAMU, FAU and Appalachian State (plus Georgia Tech). Now, against a wounded FSU team, we’ll see just how far the Canes have come. Miami does have an impressive offense with quarterback Brad Kaaya and running backs Joe Yearby and Mark Walton. Nearly every football fan in Florida had something to be unhappy about over the weekend. At least one of their favorite teams tasted defeat, many by embarrassing scores. There was a little bit of good news. Those supporting “The U” did have something to cheer about with Miami’s 45-10 road romp at Appalachian State. The Florida Gators blitzed the North Florida Mean Green, 32-0. Those wins were enough to see both schools move up in the Associated Press Top 25…

Predictions: FSU to outlast a talented Louisville opponent

in Sports/Top Headlines by

Your first question is this: Can Louisville beat FSU? Yes. Your second question is this: Will Louisville beat FSU? No. Oh, it’ll be close. I wouldn’t be surprised if Louisville, behind the marvelous Lamar Jackson, led in the fourth quarter. But FSU is too solid across the board, even with star safety Derwin James out. The FSU defensive line is solid. Dalvin Cook is a star. Deondre Francois can make plays. But FSU has to play well, or the fast-break…
