Terry Parker has been named the new provost of Florida Polytechnic University, effective September 1. President Randy K. Avent announced the appointment Monday. On the final day of its inaugural class year, Florida Polytechnic unveiled “Phoenix,” the first-ever official mascot developed and voted on by students of Florida’s newest university.
