The confirmation of four agency heads in Florida Gov. Rick Scott‘s administration will be headed to the Senate floor. The Ethics and Elections Committee on Monday voted in support of the confirmations of Jeffrey Bragg as Secretary of Elderly Affairs, Dr. Celeste Philip as Surgeon General, Justin Senior as Secretary of Health Care Administration and Glenn Sutphin as Director of Department of Veterans Affairs. Glenn Sutphin, now the agency’s interim head, will become the next permanent director of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs.  Gov. Rick Scott and the Florida Cabinet made the hire at Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting. Rick Scott is interested in Glenn Sutphin becoming the next director of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs.  A Scott spokeswoman Wednesday confirmed Sutphin, now the acting head, is Scott’s top pick.
