Tampa police raise money to help former detective

Fellow peacekeepers are pitching in to help a former Tampa detective suffering from gastric cancer. The Tampa Tribune reports the Tampa Police Department raised about $30,000 in about 72 hours once they realized Jose Feliciano needed help. Feliciano spent 26 years with the department. They money they raised covered the fuel costs for a medical flight from Puerto Rico to Tampa, where he was taken to Moffitt Cancer Center for treatment.
