Florida is investigating whether or not school districts are moving students around in order to manipulate graduation rates. Education Commissioner Pam Stewart announced Wednesday that she has asked top officials in her department to look closer at students who were in their senior year but weren’t counted in final graduation rates. Rick Scott wants colleges to improve graduation rates

Florida Gov. Rick Scott is calling on the state’s colleges to improve their graduation rates. Scott on Thursday challenged Florida’s 28 public colleges to boost the number of students who graduate. Scott said that currently 43 percent of students graduate with an associate degree within three years. The governor wants that number to more than double to 100 percent.
