Last-minute legal shuffling torpedoes Tarpon Springs land deal

Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County agreed last year to sell several parcels of land in Tarpon Springs to a group called the Tarpon Land Trust. The patch of land is just west of the 64-unit Mango Circle Apartments, managed by the Tarpon Springs Housing Authority. Yesterday marked the 340th home dedication for Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County. A three bedroom, two bathroom house on 3rd Avenue N., in St. Petersburg, will now be home to the Engle family: Mary Anne, a local small-business owner who recently earned her U.S. citizenship, and her two teenage sons.
