Do clothes make the contender? The Tampa Bay Rowdies showed off a new alternate kit Friday night in preparation for next Saturday’s season opener against the Indy 11. More than 1,000 fans showed up to be introduced to the team — with nine newcomers — at the Mahaffey Theatre. The Tampa Bay Rowdies went half of a world away only to draw in the first leg of their English preseason trip. The Rowdies had a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest Wednesday, getting a tying goal from Tom Heinemann in the 79th minute. Tampa Bay had taken a 1-0 lead on a goal by Kalif Alhassan.
