in Apolitical/Top Headlines by

I put together a column for INFLUENCE Magazine (should be out soon) about political paid digital advertising and microtargeting. It is a complicated process of getting in front of certain demographics that would take hours of survey questions — using old-school focus groups — for TV ads.

Blake Dowling: Smart delivery – a new disruption

in Apolitical/Top Headlines by

The Leon County Research and Development Authority called the other day and asked me to give a chat about artificial intelligence. I gave them the standard JJ-from-Good-Times response … Dyn-o-mite! … love to, thanks for thinking about me! They had read something on AI I had put together for INFLUENCE Magazine last year and thought I would be a great “expert” on the subject. As Session gets under way,…

Debuting this week: Second edition of INFLUENCE Magazine (link to digital version inside)

in Apolitical/Top Headlines by

Well, that happened. The first issue of INFLUENCE Magazine hit the streets March 3 and, with all humility, was a smashing success. Ten thousand copies of the first edition made their way into the hands of lobbyists in Tallahassee, fundraisers in South Florida, major donors in Naples, and so many other political aficionados throughout the rest of the state. Media outlets, including POLITICO, Business Insider, and the network of Business Journals all took note. I even personally delivered several dozen copies to law offices and PR…
