From March on Politics: Former Hillsborough County Commissioner Brian Blair may have a public name, but that hasn’t translated into campaign donations for the District 47 state House race. For the first three months of this year, Blair raised about $7,300, compared to first-quarter campaign fund-raising front-runner James Grant, who raised $37,815 during that period. In his first quarter of fundraising, James Grant, candidate for State House, District 47 raised $40,140 in monetary contributions and $42,680 in overall contributions. To date, that is more than double what any one of his opponents have raised in any quarter.
