Pinellas County commissioners appear poised to get on board a high-speed commuter ferry between St. Petersburg and Tampa. Commissioners are scheduled to vote on the item during Tuesday’s meeting. Seminole athletics, electric bus charging station top shortened list for Pinellas BP money

It took about four hours, but Pinellas commissioners whittled down 54-item wish list to a shorter list of projects that could be done using settlement money from the BP oil spill. First-time candidate Mike Mikurak is holding firmly to his lead in the fundraising race for the District 3 at-large seat on the Pinellas County Commission.
