The Florida branch of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has endorsed candidates in Pinellas County elections. At the county level, Pinellas Commissioner Charlie Justice and School Board member Carol Cook, both running for re-election, received the union’s support. At the local level, Dunedin Mayor Julie Bujalski, who is seeking re-election, also received the union’s endorsement. State Rep. Kathleen Peters has raised about 2½ times more money to finance her campaign than her challenger, Jennifer Webb. According to the most recently filed financial reports, Peters raised $19,110 during the first seven days of October. That brings her overall total to about $319,760 in cash.
