Pinellas Property Appraiser candidate Mike Twitty glad to have support from “trifecta of constitutional officers”

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

If you’re running for a county property appraiser post, who better to impress than your potential fellow constitutional officers? Mike Twitty has a solid list of backers, but he made sure to take some time during his Wednesday evening fundraiser at Ferg’s to thank a few of the elected officials with whom he may end up working closest. “I really appreciate having the support of what I [call] our trifecta of constitutional officers,” said Twitty to a considerable crowd of supporters.…

Pinellas Property Appraiser candidate Jim Frishe still no match for opponent Mike Twitty in fundraising department

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

Pinellas Property Appraiser candidate Mike Twitty is still handling his lone opponent Jim Frishe quite easily in the fundraising department. In total, and according to the most recent finance reports from the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections, Twitty has raised over $114,000 for his cause, while Frishe has brought in around $40,000. Lopsided, indeed. And things have been that way since Twitty first entered the race back in August of 2015, when the 48-year-old Republican netted over $50,000 in campaign donations for…

Jim Frishe is down, but not out

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

Jim Frishe isn’t too worried about the fundraising gap between him and his opponent for Pinellas County Property Appraiser Mike Twitty. Frishe posted just $300 in earnings during the month of January with Twitty bringing in nearly $7,500. The total fundraising numbers show Twitty leading the charge with more than $100,000 raised to date compared with Frishe’s just $39,000. And Frishe has had longer to raise. He jumped into the race about four months before Twitty. Frishe said he’s been…

Toast to the Bay/Dump into the Bay: Two Bay area judges; Jim Frishe

in The Bay and the 'Burg/Top Headlines by

Toast: Two judges, some murderers (unfortunately) and death penalty critics The death penalty doesn’t exist in Florida. At least not for now. And that’s a thing of beauty for the folks who don’t care for the policy much. Especially considering Florida is the second most murderous state in the nation in terms of capital punishment. Two judges, Hillsborough Circuit Judge Samantha Ward and Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge Michael Andrews, found consensus that right now, Florida doesn’t have a death penalty. Last…
