St. Petersburg Free Clinic buys Lealman building to expand food bank
Bonnie Hechtkopf has searched for a way to honor her husband, Jared, ever since he died 15 years ago. She thinks she’s found it. Hechtkopf donated enough money to the St. Petersburg Free Clinic to buy a warehouse, rehab and renovate it to be used as a food bank that will provide food to more than 60,000 hungry people each month.
