Lobbyist charged with cocaine buy

A Tallahassee lawyer-lobbyist has been charged with oneĀ felonyĀ count of buying cocaine, a Leon County booking reportĀ shows. Lawrence ā€œLanceā€ Block, 61,Ā was arrested Wednesday by Florida State University police. He was released fromĀ jail that same day on $10,000 bail. Details were not available because the arrest reportĀ has not yet beenĀ filed with the court. Block’s attorney,Ā Jackie Fulford,Ā filed a not-guilty plea on hisĀ behalf Thursday, court records show. Block could not be reached at his office, and Fulford declined to comment on the case.
