The South shall rise again. In college baseball, it already has. To no one’s surprise, the Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference are sending a large percentage of the teams to this year’s NCAA Baseball Tournament. The NFL Draft concluded on Saturday. From the top pick of California’s Jared Goff by the Rams, to Southern Mississippi’s Kalan Reed by Tennessee, 253 players were chosen over the three days. Florida schools provide key NFL draft stories

Thursday’s first round of the NFL draft provided some surprises and disappointments along with plenty of cases where the mock drafts were accurate. Players from Florida schools and native Floridians fell into all three categories. Meeting expectations were the two who were always projected to be chosen within the top 12 picks. Florida, Miami agree to renew football rivalry in 2019

Florida and Miami will renew their rivalry in Orlando. The Gators and Hurricanes have agreed to open the 2019 season at Camping World Stadium, the new name of the Citrus Bowl.
