At least 95 individuals have applied for the City of St. Petersburg’s governmental relations manager position, according to application documents obtained from a public information request made last week. From Mitch Perry: Early voting begins today in the House District 58 special election taking place in West Tampa, Seminole Heights, and northwest parts of Hillsborough County. At approximately 9:40 p.m., the Supervisor of Elections office in Hillsborough County announced that Janet Cruz had taken 58 more votes than Pat Kemp, and won by 2%, 47-45. Gil Sanchez finished in 3rd place with 8% of the vote. Stunningly, the margin in Hunter Chamberlin’s defeat of Jackie Rojas-Quinones in the GOP primary was just 12 votes, 355 votes to 343, or 1.7% of the vote, but still too big of a margin to trigger an automatic machine recount.…
