in 2017 by

Even before the end of this presidential election cycle, lots of Americans are concerned about how hard it might be to heal the divisions exposed in this country following the Donald Trump-Hillary Clinton battle. That includes Marco Rubio, who said Monday it’s not lawmakers in Washington who have to learn to get along better, but the public itself. “We’ve reached a point in our political discourse where it’s not enough to disagree. People now believe that if someone has an opinion that you…

On USF campus in Tampa, Hillary Clinton trashes Donald Trump plan to dismantle ISIS

in 2017 by

Although Hillary Clinton did talk briefly about how she would attempt to rein in the Islamic State if elected president in her speech at the University of South Florida in Tampa on Tuesday, her hyped address on national security issues also contained plenty of red meat regarding the foreign policy statements made by her opponent in this year’s presidential election, Donald Trump. “His whole campaign has been one long insult to all those who have worn the uniform to protect our most cherished…

Having said that, nearly 32 million people still opted to tune into the annual ritual, broadcast up and down your cable package. That’s not bad in…

Mitch Perry Report for 9.4.15 — Sam Rashid is not backing down

in The Bay and the 'Burg/Top Headlines by

It was famed actor, celebrity and humanitarian George Clooney who once said that he doesn’t tweet. “Just because, I like to have a drink at night. I could easily say something stupid, and I also don’t think you need to be that available.” But there are lots of folks who just can’t help expressing themselves via the tools of modern technology. Like Sam Rashid. The GOP activist from East Hillsborough County has been busted for the second time this year for using inappropriate language on…
