Gov. Scott signs executive order protecting Florida Guardsmen after Chatanooga shooting
Responding to Thursday’s shooting rampage in Chattanooga, Tennessee that killed five U.S. service members, Gov. Rick Scott signed an executive order that will help protect Florida Guardsmen working in recruiting centers. Scott’s order on Saturday directs Florida Adjunct General Michael Calhoun to relocate Florida National Guard personnel at the state’s six store-front recruitment centers to the nearest National Guard Armory until the state can improve security of store-front recruitment centers.
