Democratic incumbent Janet Long is the clear winner when it comes to raising money for the race for the District 1 at-large seat on the Pinellas Commission. Long reports she raised $8,700 last month, bringing her total to $74,018. First-time candidate Hughes, a Republican who entered the race just last month, brought in $120. Incumbent Janet Long has continued her bid for Pinellas County Commission re-election with another solid month of campaign fundraising. The 70-year-old Democrat and former Florida House state representative from Seminole has raised a total of $21,658 since formally jumping into the race for Commission’s District 1 seat back in May.
