On December 15, 2009,  just before two o’clock in the morning, City of St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor Goliath Davis was stopped for suspicion of DUI.  During the stop, Davis told the police officer who had pulled him over that he did not have his driver’s license because he had just returned from the hospital — as if going to the hospital excuses one from carrying their driver’s license. Yesterday, an anonymous source contacted me with information that City of St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor and former Police Chief Goliath ‘Go’ Davis had been stopped by Gulfport Police on suspicion of DUI.
