SWIFTMUD adopts tax rate for coming fiscal year

The Southwest Florida Water Management District has adopted a tax rate for the 2016-17 fiscal year that’s about 4.9 percent lower than the current rate. The proposed rate for the new fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1, is about 33 cents per thousand dollars of assessed, taxable value.
