Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy received another financial bump to his U.S. Senate campaign this week in the form of a million-dollar check from his father to a Senate super PAC. The Hill reports Florida homebuilder Thomas Murphy gave $1 million to the Senate Majority PAC, the largest donation the Harry Reid-linked committee received in July.
