Despite Gators’ shortcomings, it’s still the FSU-Florida rivalry

in Sports/Top Headlines by

Even though the Gators are missing seven defensive starters, it’s FSU-Florida. Even though the Gators are ranked only 102nd in the nation, it’s FSU-Florida. Even though FSU has won three straight, and five of the last six, it’s FSU-Florida. There are a lot of reasons to believe this won’t be a close game. Despite a disappointing season, FSU has Dalvin Cook and Deondre Francois. Demarcus Walker is second in the nation in sacks. Tavaris McFadden is first in interceptions. But…

in Sports/Top Headlines by

Five questions to ponder about the USF-UCF game: Can freshman McKenzie Milton play well enough to keep up with the Bulls? Doesn’t everyone? The Predictions: Florida might get a glimpse at future QBs

in Sports/Top Headlines by

This time, the noise isn’t about the coach who is coming back. It’s about the quarterbacks who are here. Yeah, yeah. So Will Muschamp is coming back to Gainesville. Big deal. Muschamp wasn’t especially popular when he worked here. For Florida, the bigger question is about quarterback Luke Del Rio, who will miss Saturday’s game against South Carolina. In his place is backup Austin Appleby. But what has the Gator faithful interested is the possibility of freshmen Feleipe Franks and…

The defense of the UCF Knights wasn’t satisfied with simply keeping Tulane off of the scoreboard. The defense wanted some points of its own.
