The Florida Atlantic Owls had a week off to get ready for Western Kentucky. In the end, the Hilltoppers were more than ready as they thumped FAU 52-3 in Boca Raton. It did not take long for Western Kentucky to take charge in this game. For USF Coach Willie Taggart and Western Kentucky quarterback Brandon Doughty, Monday’s Miami Beach Bowl ended one phase of their career and began another. While only one of them could come away with a victory, each had something to be happy about. It was much easier for Doughty to be happy.
