Congressman Gus Bilirakis took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives Thursday to honor the life and service of Tuskegee Airman Willie Rogers from Pinellas County. Rogers, the oldest remaining Tuskegee Airman from the original 100th Fighter Squadron, died in November. St. Petersburg City officials gathered in Williams Park this Veterans Day morning to honor Willie Rogers, of the famed Tuskegee Airmen. Rogers, who achieved the rank of Master Sergeant during his military career, was presented with the city’s 2015 Honored Veteran Award.
