The Department of Health is stepping up its efforts to combat the spread of Zika in South Florida. Gov. Rick Scott said Monday the department is sending in “additional commercial pest control companies to assist with local mosquito control efforts in Miami-Dade County.” The news of additional assistance comes as two more cases of locally transmitted Zika have been discovered. Zika concerns not stopping travelers from visiting Florida

Travelers might be worried about Zika, but it isn’t stopping them from traveling to the Sunshine State. The University of Florida’s Tourism Crisis Management Initiative found more than 70 percent of potential visitors are concerned about the mosquito-borne virus.
