In partnership with the Victory Group, and supported by Florida Trend, the Tampa Bay Partnership today officially launched Front Row Tampa Bay, four days of major business forums and events that will be aired before a live audience and, through Web TV, the nation.

During an eTownHall phone conference, Stuart Rogel, President and CEO of the Tampa Bay Partnership, revealed that this Convention-driven program would allow Tampa Bay to highlight its business assets as part of the national story about who may next lead the country.

“We see the Republican National Convention as the ‘Super Bowl’ for business and a great opportunity for Tampa Bay,” Rogel said today. “Front Row Tampa Bay provides the business community with a unique and far-reaching platform to tell the rest of the nation that our region, and the State of Florida, is a tremendous place to do business.”

The four days of programming, business networking, and events will be headquartered at Stageworks Theater, located less than a mile from the Tampa Bay Times Forum where the RNC will host the 2012 Republican National Convention August 27-30, with 6,000 delegates/alternates and an estimated 15,000 members of the national and international media.

Potential topics already under consideration include health care, international trade, energy, tourism and innovation-driven jobs.
“Front Row Tampa Bay” will live stream four days of major business forums, conferences and programs through the Internet. Backed by the latest Web and film technology, and set against the backdrop of a professional theatre stage, the programs will include both live, interactive audiences and subjects beamed in (via Skype and remote feeds) from around Florida…and the country.

Key partners and supporters will be given the opportunity to host the live broadcast stream on their websites.

During the eTownHall call to announce the kick-off, a new promo was premiered featuring Florida television journalists Kathy Fountain and Frank Robertson who will co-host the live-streamed programs. In addition, the Tampa Bay Partnership announced that Florida Trend has come on board as a media sponsor.

“The Republican National Convention is a terrific opportunity for Florida to put its best foot forward as a great place to live, work, and play,” said Andy Corty, President & Publisher of Florida Trend Magazine. “Front Row Tampa Bay provides the format to showcase this great community, and Florida Trend is thrilled to be a part of it.”

The Front Row Tampa Bay web site, www.FrontRowTampaBay.com, launched today, includes animation of the Stageworks Theater venue and opportunities to sign up for updates and more information.

“Front Row Tampa Bay’s communications platform will enable the Tampa Bay community to deliver a focused business and economic development message highlighting the region’s unique assets to a highly targeted list of C-level executives and key influencers who can benefit from being a part of our compelling story,” added Rogel.
