The Tampa Bay Times will begin printing USA TODAY for the Tampa Bay area after being awarded a three-year contract from Gannett, the parent company of USA TODAY.

Starting in August, the Times will print the daily edition of USA TODAY, which publishes Monday through Friday.

“We are proud that USA TODAY has chosen the Times. We look forward to being a partner in growing the Tampa Bay presence of this nationally-recognized publication,” said Joe DeLuca, a Times vice president and Tampa publisher. “We’re committed to bringing our standard of excellence and award-winning print quality to their readers with every edition of USA TODAY.”

The Times, which this month won journalism’s most prestigious award, the Pulitzer Prize, also has been recognized for its quality printing and reproduction.
